CHESSBLINK

ABOUT CHESSBLINK

See the board before you calculate.

Chess improvement often begins with something simpler than a brilliant combination: noticing what is already there.

01

Train the first scan

Before choosing a move, strong players scan for forcing possibilities and vulnerable pieces. ChessBlink turns that quiet habit into a focused daily exercise.

02

Find every answer

You are not searching for one computer-approved move. You are training yourself to see every legal check, every capture, and every piece with no defender.

03

Build reliable vision

Short repetitions make board awareness faster and more automatic. Practice without pressure, or use the one-minute sprint when you want a sharper test.

Calculation is only useful after you have seen what deserves to be calculated.

THE IDEA

Made for Lucy. Shared with everyone.

ChessBlink began when my daughter Lucy was four years old and completely new to chess. As her father, I wanted a simple way for her to practise checking a position for every check, every capture, and every undefended piece before choosing a move.

That small routine proved genuinely useful. I rebuilt the trainer so complete beginners and improving players alike can practise it daily, stay sharp, and develop a more reliable view of the board.
